I’ve been asked plenty of times to post recipes for detox drinks or detox concoctions. The reason why I never post recipes for these “detox drinks” is because they dont really detox, they help, but they dont really detoxify your body. I’m talking about the fruit infused waters with cinnamon and ginger and such type of recipes that don’t really do much. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying they don’t have any benefits. They do, I’ve been drinking turmeric infused water for a couple days now. But what they dont do is detox the body of junk in just one sip.

EATING ORGANIC ISN’T A NEW THING

It’s amazing how things change and we adapt to modern technologies and methods.

About 80 years ago pesticides did not exist. Conventional agriculture by nature was “organic”. In 1940 the first pesticide was invented to avoid the loss of production that at that time was about 7%. It should be noted that, due to the resistance that pests have acquired to these pesticides, currently the loss is around 13%. So, it has become a vicious cycle, and the losses are even larger.

IS EATING ORGANIC A TREND?

Amidst so many labels and nutritional facts such as: low fat, no sugar, cholesterol free… It’s understandable to see so many people confused with yet another “category” and consider it a marketing hype. Most people see Organic and immediately think it’s just another label meaning “healthy”. And this very issue was what motivated me to start this blog.
