Our Sunday lunch consisted of grilled wild caught salmon with a bit of balsamic, baked russet and sweet potatoes with truffle oil, avocado and homemade strawberry lemonade on the side. Yum Yum
I always ALWAYS cook wild caught fish, and you should too. Farmed fish involves commercially raising fish in enclosed tanks and are loaded with toxins and chemicals. They live as tight as possible in these tanks, of course to maximize space. These unnatural conditions harbor many diseases and parasites in the fish and even migrate off the farm and reach the wild fish population.
To fight off the parasites and diseases, the “farmers” dump loads off antibiotics and other chemicals which are incredibly detrimental to our health. To make matters worse, they are usually fed GMO corn and soy.
Recently, scientist released a warning for people not to buy farm raised fish because of toxicity. They belive they should only be eaten three times a YEAR. Wow!!
THE MOST COMMON FARMED RAISED FISH ARE:
Did you know that the pink color on farm raised salmon is actually artificial?? Since the salmon is not raised in it natural habitat, it doesn’t develop that beautiful pink/red color that wild fish have. Therefore, they add the artificial coloring to trick us. YUCK!
Enough reasons to steer clear from farmed raised fish!!
